World Defense Show 2026: 60 contracts worth 33 billion riyals, 137,000 people participating

60 Defense and Military Agreements Worth SAR 33 Billion Signed at World Defense Show 2026 in Riyadh

Riyadh: A total of 60 agreements valued at SAR 33 billion were concluded in the military and defense sectors during the third edition of the World Defense Show 2026, held in Saudi Arabia’s capital, Riyadh.

Speaking at a press conference marking the conclusion of the five-day exhibition, Engineer Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Owahli, Governor of the General Authority for Military Industries and Chairman of the event, stated that 1,486 exhibitors representing 89 countries participated in the show. In addition, 513 official delegations from 121 countries attended the event.

The exhibition attracted more than 137,000 visitors. Covering an area of 272,500 square meters, the venue was 58 percent larger than that of the inaugural edition.

During the exhibition, the Saudi Arabian Military Industries Company (SAMI) showcased its capabilities through a dedicated pavilion spanning 3,000 square meters.

The pavilion featured six specialized sections displaying over 60 locally developed products.

SAMI and its affiliated companies also signed 25 strategic partnerships and memorandums of understanding covering aviation, land systems, advanced electronics, unmanned technologies, weapons systems, and supply chain development.
