Lahore / Toronto: Former members of PSA and SPSA—the fraternity that later evolved into the Punjab Lok Raaj Party (PLRP)—held parallel gatherings in Lahore and Toronto to reaffirm their commitment to protecting the rights and interests of Punjab and its people. The PLRP continues to advance the mission initiated by these organizations.
In Lahore, a special “Ji Aayan Noun” dinner reception was organized in honor of Engr. Muhammad Imran Zahir, an alumnus of NED University currently based in Saudi Arabia. The event was chaired by Dr. Idrees Rana, who presided on behalf of ASC Raja Imran Aziz, unable to attend due to prior commitments.
Distinguished guests included Dr. Kaleem Ullah Saqi (former PSA-SMC member) and Engr. Shah Nawaz (PSA-NED). PLRP Vice Chairman Mian Amjad Ch., former Chairman of S-PSA, attended along with his son Muhammad Ali. Arrangements were coordinated by PLRP General Secretary and International Coordinator Engr. Ejaz Ahmed Zia from Wah Cantt, while PLRP Chairman Engr. Ilyas Ghumman conveyed his best wishes and greetings to the participants.
The gathering also celebrated the birthday of Engr. Mukhtar Ahmad, former President of DUET Karachi.
Among those present were Dr. Sohail (SMC), Dr. Tahir (Liaquat Medical College, Jamshoro), and several senior engineers and former PSA leaders, including Sohail Anjum Ch., Tahir Ch., Faiz Ahmad Chatha, Nisar Anjum, Zahid Mahmood, Tasawar Nazir, Rashid Javed Chughtai, Muhammad Gulzar, Tariq Latif, Javed Akram Goraya, Ejaz Ahmad Sandhu, and Maqbool Ch. Local arrangements were managed by Engr. Sohail Anjum Ch. and Engr. Rashid Javed Chughtai.
At the same time in Toronto, Canada, a separate gathering organized by Engr. Amer Ch., Javed Choudhary, Akram, Engr. Ashraf, and Muhammad Saeed Arain expressed strong support for Punjabi solidarity and unity, pledging continued cooperation for the collective welfare of Punjabis worldwide.
